Nigel first established Shore Vet Centre in 1992 at Shore Street in Gourock. He has always had a keen interest in animals and their welfare, and knew from an early age that he wanted to become a vet. After graduating from Edinburgh University’s Royal Dick Veterinary College in 1981 he gained a wide range of experience in small animal veterinary practice in both the UK and overseas. He has a special interest in radiology but also enjoys the broader aspects of general practice and the challenges it brings. Nigel is now the Clinical Director of Shore Veterinary Centre, since it became part of IVC in 2015. Outside of work he finds time to walk in the Scottish mountains, and completed the Munros in 2009. Nigel’s lovely dog Pete, has also achieved a number of hills but has now retired after turning 13 recently.
