Preventative Healthcare

Your animal companion should be seen routinely so any illnesses can be dealt with quickly

When it comes to keeping your pet happy and healthy, at Shore Veterinary Centre, we believe that prevention is always the best medicine. We don’t want to only be there for you when your pet is ill – we want to provide the ongoing care necessary to prevent illness from occurring in the first place. By bringing your pet in for a checkup at least once a year, you can vastly improve the quality and length of his or her life.

We have developed a comprehensive preventative care program that is specifically designed to help our patients enjoy long, healthy lives. Preventative healthcare visits include complete physical examinations, customised vaccination plans, parasite prevention and control, nutritional counseling, weight management and any diagnostic tests that our vets deem necessary to monitor your pet’s ongoing health. This thorough approach allows us to identify and address potential medical concerns before they can develop into a serious and costly problem.

Most importantly, when you bring your pet to us for routine care, it provides all of us with the opportunity to get to know you both better and to develop a more personalised healthcare plan for your pet. We welcome any questions that you may have, and invite you to bring up any concerns that are weighing on your mind so that we may discuss them and put your mind at ease. Our goal is to become your trusted partner in all of your pet’s veterinary care needs, and it starts with a solid foundation of preventative healthcare.
